What are the gold grades? What do they mean?

If you are looking for unique jewellery made of the highest quality gold, at BELLER we offer products made of the most frequently chosen gold grades: 585 and 750.

Jakie są próby złota? Co oznaczają?

What does gold fineness mean?

Gold fineness is a measure of the content of pure gold in an alloy, expressed in per mille or carats. The higher the fineness, the greater the share of pure gold in the alloy, which translates into a more intense color and higher value. The most common finenesses are:

333 (8 carats) – contains 33.3% pure gold, often chosen in cheaper jewelry.

585 (14 carats) – contains 58.5% gold, this is the perfect fineness for everyday wear as it provides an excellent balance between aesthetics and durability.

750 (18 carats) – contains 75% pure gold, has a more intense shade of yellow, which gives the products a luxurious character. This is the most frequently chosen fineness for engagement rings and exclusive jewelry.

999 (24 carats) – almost pure gold, used mainly for investment purposes, e.g. in coins and bars.

Why choose 585 and 750 gold?

In our collection you will find gold with a fineness of 585 and 750, which have enjoyed great recognition for years. Gold with a fineness of 585 is characterized by greater durability, which makes it ideal for everyday wear - it is more resistant to scratches and damage, while maintaining beauty and elegance. In turn, gold with a fineness of 750 offers a higher content of pure gold, giving it a more intense, deeper hue, ideally suited to luxury jewellery designed to highlight special occasions.

Hallmarks: Guarantee of quality and authenticity

Every product made of gold in Poland must be marked with a hallmark, which is a guarantee of its quality and authenticity. This is an official mark placed by the State Assay Office, which certifies the content of pure gold in the product. In Poland, you will find a characteristic symbol on gold products - a knight's head. This mark is an official confirmation that a given product meets rigorous standards regarding gold content. Thanks to this, our customers can be sure that the jewelry they buy is of the highest quality and comes from a trusted source.

Recycled Gold: Sustainable Luxury

Nowadays, we pay more and more attention to environmental protection, which is why at BELLER we offer jewelry made of recycled gold . Gold, as a raw material, can be refined and reused without losing its value or quality. This process not only reduces mining, but also reduces the negative impact on the natural environment. Refining is an advanced process during which gold regains its original purity and shine, thanks to which we can offer jewelry made of renewable raw materials, without compromising on quality. Our philosophy is based on creating beauty in a responsible way, which is why we support the idea of sustainable development by using recycled gold.

Modern technologies in gold production

An interesting fact worth noting is the use of modern technologies in the process of creating gold jewelry. At BELLER, in addition to traditional goldsmithing methods, we also use 3D printing to create precise forms and patterns. This innovative technique allows us to create more complex, unique patterns that would be impossible to make using traditional methods. Thanks to this, our jewelry stands out from the competition, combining tradition with modernity.
