Gold bracelet as a gift: size, engraving, occasion

A gold bracelet is one of those gifts that stay for years, worn close to the skin and tied to a particular moment. We explain how to choose the karat and colour of gold, when to add an engraving, and how to turn a classic form into a personal keepsake.

A gold bracelet is one of those gifts that stay for years, worn close to the skin and tied to a particular moment. You can give it to yourself to mark something important, or to someone close when you want to say more than words allow. It is worth choosing such a piece calmly, because it stays with a person for a very long time, and you do not need to worry about the fit, even when buying in secret, because we will take care of that.

How to choose a gold bracelet as a gift without knowing the wrist size?

You do not need to know the wrist circumference, because we always adjust the fit in our workshop. With every bracelet we include a one-time resizing at no extra cost: we shorten the chain or add an adjusting link, so the gift will sit well. For selected rigid bracelets we can also adjust the circumference, so here too you need not worry about guessing the size. For reference, women's chain bracelets are most often 17 to 19 cm, and if you want to measure in secret, simply wrap the wrist with a thread and add about 1.5 cm of ease. Should anything need correcting after you give the gift, we are at your disposal, because we treat help as part of the present.

Which gold karat to choose: 585 or 750?

585 gold is an everyday gold, harder and more resistant to scratches, while 750 has a deeper, warmer colour and a character reserved for special occasions. The difference is not that one is better than the other, but in how the jewellery is meant to live. If the person wears jewellery intensively and every day, they will value 585 for its durability. If the gift is to underline the importance of a moment, an anniversary or a promotion, 750 will give it the right weight and glow.

Which colour of gold to give: white, yellow or rose?

Yellow gold is classic and universal, white pairs with cooler skin tones and with diamonds, and rose warms the skin and looks beautiful on lighter complexions. It is worth looking at the jewellery the person already wears, as they usually keep to one tone. All three colours are made by us from solid gold and to the same quality of craftsmanship, so the choice is a matter of style, not class. If you hesitate between shades, yellow gold remains the safest, timeless choice.

Chain bracelet, rigid bangle or with a charm?

A chain bracelet drapes softly and works every day, a rigid bracelet, that is a bangle, holds a distinct shape, and a version with a charm lets you give the gift a specific meaning. A bangle is a rigid band of fixed form, closed or openable, that embraces the wrist in a full arc and looks more decisive than a delicate chain. We harden our bangles, so the form stays rigid and does not deform with daily wear. A bracelet with a charm, for example a heart, a letter or a small symbol, works wonderfully when you want to tell a personal story with a gift.

How does an engraving turn a bracelet into a personal gift?

A free engraving lets you place a date, initials or a short word on the inner side, which turns the jewellery into a keepsake worn close to the body. It is a detail invisible to others, yet clear to the wearer every time they fasten the bracelet. Most often we engrave the date of an important day, the initials of a loved one, or a single word that means something to both people. Thanks to this even a classic form becomes one of a kind, without raising the price.

For which occasion is a gold bracelet suitable?

A gold bracelet is a discreet yet meaningful gift, which is why it suits an anniversary, a birthday, the birth of a child or a thank you for a maid of honour. It works when you want to give something lasting that will not age together with fashion. For a round anniversary or an eighteenth birthday, a form with an engraving that records the date for years works well. For more formal occasions it is worth considering 750 gold or a diamond accent to emphasise the weight of the moment.

BELLER gold bracelet from the Witraz collection

Why is a BELLER gold bracelet jewellery for generations?

Our jewellery is made from solid gold, not from thin, hollow sheet, and it is hardened, so it withstands daily wear and keeps its form for years. It is jewellery conceived for generations: the kind you wear today and can pass on decades later, still beautiful and full of meaning. The wearer only needs to take the bracelet off before bathing and sleep and store it separately to avoid scratches. We take care of the rest, offering a free refreshing and polishing service that restores the shine even after years, so the bracelet is not a gift for a season, but for decades and longer.
