B.One N°17, a BELLER ring from the B.One collection, joins yellow gold with a single oval sapphire of 0.6 CT. An oval stone usually shows a larger surface from above than a round one of the same weight, so the sapphire looks larger than its carats suggest. We achieved this effect without enlarging the stone or adding gold, through the choice of shape alone. There is no second ring like it, and this one is size 13.
What sapphire does the B.One N°17 ring have?
A natural green sapphire from Sri Lanka of 0.6 CT, oval in shape and AAA grade. We sourced it ourselves, and it has not been heated or treated, so its color comes from nature alone. A gemologist has described each of its grades in a numbered BELLER certificate, which comes with the ring.
Will B.One N°17 be made in another gold color?
No. B.One N°17 is a one-of-a-kind ring and exists only in the 14K (585) yellow gold in which we made it. The 0.6 CT sapphire is permanently set in this setting, so another gold color would mean a new setting and a new band, in other words a different ring.
How wide is the band of B.One N°17?
The band of B.One N°17 is 2 mm wide, and the whole ring weighs about 1.63 g. This width gives the band enough gold to carry the 0.6 CT sapphire securely, while keeping the ring in a slender, light form. The width of the band does not change when the ring is made smaller.
