The On the edge N°2 earrings, 20 mm in diameter, arrange diamonds along an irregular gold edge. Fourteen round diamonds in three sizes, 1.25 mm, 1.5 mm and 2 mm, total 0.32 CT, with D-E color and VVS1 clarity. The earrings weigh about 5.7 g and are made in 14K (585) or 18K (750) gold, in yellow, white or rose.
In the On the edge N°2 earrings, the sharp edge around which the On the edge collection is built meets a soft, irregular line. We arrange the diamonds in a geometric pattern that brings order to the free outline of the earring. We make the earrings by hand in the BELLER workshop in Warsaw, setting all fourteen stones one after another. Arranged this way, the diamonds emphasize a restrained form in which gold and light carry equal weight.
For the On the edge N°2 earrings we use 14K (585) or 18K (750) gold, and these numbers express pure gold content in parts per thousand of the alloy. The yellow, white or rose color is owed to the alloying metals, and white gold is finished with a rhodium coating that thins over time. The diamonds are worth washing now and then in warm water with mild soap, using a soft brush that reaches beneath the settings. We harden the gold, which strengthens the metal and makes it more resistant to scratches.
