    The Pearl N°2 silver necklace suspends from its chain a motif inspired by the shape of a pearl, with a soft, irregular outline. At 16 x 10 mm, the motif has clearly elongated proportions, softened by the rounded outline of its edges. The metal is 925 silver, and the motif is plated with a layer of rhodium.

  • The Pearl N°2 necklace belongs to the Pearl collection, in which the pearl sets the direction for forms that are soft, rounded and deliberately irregular. The irregular outline of the motif means that with every movement, light reflects off it at a different angle. We make the necklace by hand in the BELLER workshop in Warsaw, finishing the edges of the motif so that they are soft to the touch. The chain comes in five lengths to choose from, 38 to 46 cm.

  • In the Pearl N°2 necklace, the number 925 in the silver fineness tells how much pure silver the alloy contains: 925 parts in every thousand. The rhodium applied to the silver gives it a bright, cool tone and delays tarnishing, although the layer wears through after years of use. Contact with chlorinated water, perfume and cleaning products shortens the life of the coating, so the necklace is better taken off before swimming in a pool or cleaning. Rhodium re-plating of silver and any repairs are quoted before any work begins.

What sets it apart

In the Pearl N°2 silver necklace from the BELLER Pearl collection, the motif inspired by the shape of a pearl is larger than in Pearl N°1. This scale makes it a sign in its own right on the chain, rather than just a small accent at the neck. Its size does not take away its calm, because the rounded outline has no sharp breaks. The silver motif works here like a miniature sculpture, in which every part of the curve counts.

Is the Pearl N°2 silver necklace set with a pearl?

No, the Pearl N°2 silver necklace is set with neither a pearl nor any stone. We make the element, inspired by the shape of a pearl, in 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish. The element measures 16 x 10 mm.

Does the Pearl N°2 necklace have a gold version?

Yes. The Pearl N°2 gold necklace repeats the motif in 14K (585) or 18K (750) gold, offered in three colors: yellow, white and rose. In gold the motif is heavier than in silver, because gold has a higher density, while its shape and measurements stay the same.
