Water leaves no straight edges. A drop on glass, a wave retreating from sand, a surface disturbed by one movement of the hand: all these shapes are irregular, and we still read them as calm. The Liquid collection grew out of that observation, with gold and silver holding the movement of water still instead of imitating it. Below we show what the line holds today, what the individual designs cost and how its gold half differs from the silver one.
What is the Liquid collection?
Liquid is the line whose form repeats the behaviour of water: irregular edges, soft ripples and surfaces that break light in several directions at once instead of returning it in a single flash. Every piece is made by hand in our own atelier, from 585 and 750 gold or from rhodium plated 925 silver. The drawing is organic, yet the execution stays precise: the edge ripples by design, not by accident, which is why the same wave returns in a ring, in a pendant and in a bracelet. What exactly does the Liquid collection hold?
The collection holds 58 designs today, 32 in gold and 26 in silver. In gold we keep 7 rings, 3 rigid bracelets, 14 pairs of earrings and 8 pendants, in silver 7 rings, 3 rigid bracelets, 9 pairs of earrings and 7 pendants. That layout is rare among our lines, because it lets you gather a whole set in one language of form: a ring, earrings and a pendant on a chain from the same family of shapes. The numbering runs across both metals: ring N°2 has a 1-3 mm band in gold and in silver alike, and N°6 is in both metals the design that holds a diamond.
How much does Liquid jewelry cost?
Liquid in silver costs from 550 zł to 1 050 zł, in gold from 800 zł to 28 550 zł, because price follows the weight of metal and the stones. The smallest gold earrings, N°12, weighing 0.52 g and measuring 7 by 4 mm, cost 800 zł in 585 gold and 950 zł in 750. Ring N°2, 1.8 g with a 1-3 mm band, costs 2 350 zł in 585 and 4 650 zł in 750. Ring N°1, holding 5.87 g of metal, costs 3 950 zł and 6 750 zł. The heaviest piece is the N°2 rigid bracelet, hence 11 500 zł in 585 gold and 28 550 zł in 750. On the silver side rings begin at 650 zł, rigid bracelets at 750 zł and pendants at 550 zł.
Which Liquid designs hold diamonds?
Diamonds work in three designs: the N°6 gold ring, the N°5 gold pendant and the N°6 silver ring. Each holds a stone of 0.015 CT measuring 1.5 by 1.5 mm, in D colour and VVS1 clarity, at the top of the GIA scale. The N°6 gold ring has a 3-5 mm band and weighs 2 g, costing 2 750 zł in 585 gold and 5 250 zł in 750. The N°5 pendant measures 14 mm with a 5 mm link and weighs 1.3 g, costing 1 650 zł and 2 550 zł. The N°6 silver ring, with the same band width, costs 1 050 zł and is the shortest way to a natural diamond in this line. A stone of that size is not meant to be the protagonist, it gives a point of light exactly where the wave breaks. How does Liquid in gold differ from Liquid in silver?
They differ in metal, in weight and in the way they hold light. Gold is made in yellow, white or rose, in 585 or 750, and it is hardened, which raises its resistance to scratches. Silver of 925 is plated with rhodium, a layer that gives a cool shade and protects the surface from tarnishing. The difference in density shows on the same design: the N°1 silver ring, 4-6 mm wide, weighs 2.83 g and costs 850 zł, while its gold counterpart of the same width weighs 5.87 g and costs 3 950 zł in 585 gold. How do you choose the size of a Liquid ring or bracelet?
Liquid rings run from size 4 to 20, rigid bracelets from 13 to 16 in half sizes. With an irregular band it is worth checking the size on the finished piece, because the 4-6 mm of ring N°1 sits differently from the 1-3 mm of N°2. If you buy without trying on, the first resize is included in the price of jewelry bought from BELLER, within the range each construction permits, and on selected rigid bracelets we adjust the circumference. How do you care for Liquid jewelry day to day?
A rippled surface forgives more than a mirror one, because small scratches spread across the whole texture instead of gathering in one place. Daily care comes down to taking the jewelry off before the pool and cosmetics, and to wiping it with a soft cloth. The rest is on us: cleaning, polishing and refreshing are included in the price of jewelry bought from BELLER, as is the renewal of the rhodium layer in silver and in white gold. Where can you see the Liquid collection in Kraków and Warsaw?
Liquid is best judged in movement, so it is worth seeing in a boutique: at Szczepańska 9 in Kraków or at Mokotowska 71 in Warsaw. On a screen the wave looks like a drawing, on the hand it starts to work, and that is the whole difference. On the spot we will set a design in gold next to the same one in silver, show three colours of gold side by side and measure your size.
