Engagement ring in Poland, where to see it and order one

When a ring is made where you can walk in and talk to the people making it, the decision looks entirely different. Here is what ordering an engagement ring in Poland gives you, from choosing the diamond to collecting the finished setting in the boutique.

Some decisions are made looking someone in the eye, not scrolling through photographs. An engagement ring belongs to that first category, because behind the choice stands a promise rather than a wish to own one more object. That is why couples increasingly ask us not where to buy fastest, but where to see the stone with their own eyes and meet the people who will set it.

Poland offers an advantage here that is rarely stated plainly. The workshop, the gemmologist and the jeweller carrying your order from the first conversation to collection are all within one afternoon's reach. At BELLER every piece is made by hand in our own workshop, and you can see the collection in two boutiques, in Warsaw at Mokotowska 71 and in Kraków at Szczepańska 9.

Why order an engagement ring in Poland?

Ordering in Poland means buying from the people who make the ring, not from an intermediary in a supply chain. That changes two things at once. Every detail of the design can still be discussed before the gold goes under the tools, because the workshop and the person handling your order speak to each other the same day. You also pay for metal, stone and craft rather than for the recognition of a logo, which translates directly into the diamond your budget can carry.

Polish goldsmithing also has a school of its own, closer to individual work than to serial production. A single commission is the norm here, not an exception.

Where can you see an engagement ring in person in Poland?

A setting and a stone are best judged in boutique light, on your own hand, and no appointment is needed for that. Both of our boutiques, Atelier Warsaw at Mokotowska 71 and Atelier Kraków at Szczepańska 9, are open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 to 19:00. You can simply walk in, and many of our clients begin that way, after work or on a free Saturday.

If the choice is meant to stay a surprise, mention it at first contact. We then arrange the visit so that the whole process remains discreet until the proposal. We describe what such a visit looks like in each city in our pieces on engagement rings in Warsaw and engagement rings in Kraków.

BELLER Promise N°38 gold engagement ring with a 0.20 CT diamond

How much does an engagement ring with a natural diamond cost?

In the Promise collection rings with a natural diamond start at 3 750 zł, and the most frequently chosen models sit between several and a dozen or so thousand złoty. Promise N°38, with a 0.20 CT diamond on a two millimetre band, costs 7 450 zł. Promise N°19, with a 0.40 CT stone measuring 4.8 mm across, is 14 500 zł. Promise N°30, where a 0.40 CT cushion centre stone is supported by side diamonds totalling 0.21 CT, costs 18 950 zł. The upper end of the collection is a one carat solitaire at 70 500 zł.

The price is driven above all by the stone, not by the setting. That is why we begin the conversation with what matters most to you, the size of the diamond, its proportions, or the character of the whole form. How those qualities translate into appearance and into price is explained in our guide to the 4C of a diamond.

How do you know the diamond is what it is said to be?

From an independent certificate, not from a seller's assurance. At BELLER we work exclusively with natural diamonds of D to E colour and VVS1 clarity, and every stone above 0.3 ct receives a GIA certificate. Every piece also comes with our own certificate carrying a unique number.

We do not offer synthetic stones. A diamond formed in the earth's crust over millions of years has a rarity that cannot be reproduced in a laboratory. More about the stones is gathered on our Diamonds page.

Can a ring be designed from scratch?

Yes, and it is one of the things we enjoy most. The Your Way service leads through a meeting, a design, a visualisation and the making. You choose 585 or 750 gold, the colour of the metal, white, yellow or rose, and the stone. Engraving is part of the personalisation, so a date or two names inside the band is not a separate line on the invoice.

A higher fineness does not mean a better ring here, only a different character. Gold 585 is harder and calmer in daily wear, 750 has a warmer, deeper tone. The whole service is described on our Special orders page.

How long does it take to make a ring in a Polish workshop?

Between 3 and 5 working days as standard, and in no case longer than 7 working days counted from order confirmation. If the date of the proposal is already set, tell us straight away when ordering, and we adjust the pace of the workshop to your deadline.

That proximity counts at the correction stage too. Instead of shipping the piece abroad and waiting weeks, it takes a conversation and the ring returning to the bench.

What if the size turns out to be wrong?

The first resizing is free of charge, so a surprise does not have to mean a risk. Its exact scope depends on the model, for instance on whether stones are set around the whole band. If you would rather establish the size quietly in advance, our guide to ring sizing will help.

After that comes service. Cleaning and polishing that restores the original lustre remain free for the lifetime of the piece, because an engagement ring is worn every day for decades.

How do you order a ring from outside Warsaw and Kraków?

We begin with a call or an email in which we show photographs and video of specific models before you decide. We ship across Poland with DHL and to InPost lockers, and abroad through Poczta Polska and DHL, with every parcel insured to the full value of the piece. Neither the packaging nor the waybill reveals the contents.

Online purchases are covered by the fourteen day right of return, excluding jewellery personalised within Your Way, which is made for one person only. If you can travel to us, though, it is worth it. A diamond is truly judged only once you see how it answers light and how it sits on the hand.
