On The Edge begins with a choice that is yours: should the line of gold be led by the white of diamonds or by the deep blue of sapphires. In this collection many forms exist in two versions, and only the stone sets them apart.
What is the On The Edge collection?
On The Edge is a BELLER line built on the contrast between a raw edge and a soft line, with D color, VVS1 clarity diamonds and AAA grade sapphires in 585 or 750 yellow gold. It counts 32 designs: 18 rings, 6 earring designs, 7 rigid bangles and one necklace.
Each of them is made in our own atelier workshop in Warsaw, from solid gold rather than hollow sheet. We work in white, yellow and rose gold, and On The Edge was created in yellow. Here gold is not an even ring but a line that narrows, waves and breaks, with the stones following its path. What does the edge look like in On The Edge rings?
The edge is the changing width of the band, for example from 0.5 to 3 mm or from 2 to 4 mm, so in one place the gold is slender and in another pronounced. Every one of the collection's 18 rings is built this way, from plain gold to stone-set.
The simplest, N°8, is a smooth wavy line weighing 1.18 g, from 1 750 PLN. The richest, N°9, has ten diamonds in three sizes, 1.25, 1.5 and 2 mm, 0.21 CT in total, on a band 2 to 3.5 mm wide, and costs from 7 250 PLN. You can see the difference between 0.5 and 3 mm in a photograph, but you only feel it on your finger, which is why these rings are worth trying on before you choose one.
Diamonds or sapphires, how do the twin On The Edge designs differ?
Only in the stone: twin designs share the same form, gold weight, stone layout and price, and one version carries D color, VVS1 clarity diamonds, the other blue AAA grade sapphires. Such pairs make up 22 of the collection's 32 designs.
The N°9 ring with diamonds and N°16 with sapphires share the same layout of ten stones and cost from 7 250 PLN. Earrings N°1 and N°4 are the same 20 mm round form with twenty stones, from 9 850 PLN, and rigid bangle N°2 with sixteen diamonds has a twin, N°7, with sapphires, both from 9 450 PLN. How are the stones set along the line of gold?
The stones run along the edge, in sizes from 1.25 to 2 mm, and the setting decides how much light each of them gathers. In the N°2 ring there are three 1.25 mm diamonds, 0.03 CT in total, and in N°11 seven diamonds, 0.16 CT in total, on a band that narrows to 0.5 mm. We source and set the stones ourselves, in our workshop in Warsaw, and a small diamond here has the same D color and VVS1 clarity as the larger ones. The most delicate design is the N°1 necklace with a single 1.5 mm diamond, 0.015 CT, from 3 250 PLN. We describe the types of settings in our text on diamond settings.
What sets On The Edge earrings apart?
On The Edge earrings are 20 mm round forms with an irregular edge, set with stones along the line of gold, with an approximate weight of 5.6 to 5.7 g. Each of the six designs has a twin: N°1 and N°4 each have twenty stones, 0.42 CT in total, from 9 850 PLN, and N°2, N°3, N°5 and N°6 each have fourteen, 0.32 CT in total, from 8 950 PLN. What are On The Edge rigid bangles, and how do you choose their size?
A rigid bangle is a form made from a single band of gold that holds its shape. In On The Edge it is open, its edge waves as it does in the rings, and like every rigid bangle we temper it so that it keeps its shape for years. N°1 weighs 12.2 g and carries five diamonds, from 12 850 PLN, N°2 weighs 7.52 g and has sixteen diamonds, from 9 450 PLN, and the plain N°3, N°4 and N°5 cost from 6 450 PLN. How much does jewelry from the On The Edge collection cost?
On The Edge jewelry costs from 1 750 PLN for the plain N°8 ring to 26 150 PLN for the N°1 rigid bangle with diamonds. Rings cost from 1 750 PLN to 10 350 PLN, earrings from 8 950 PLN to 17 350 PLN, rigid bangles from 6 450 PLN to 26 150 PLN, and the N°1 necklace from 3 250 PLN to 8 050 PLN. The price depends on the weight of the gold, its fineness and the weight of the stones. 585 gold is harder and handles everyday wear well, 750 has a deeper, warmer color, and both are solid gold.
